The vast majority of the Orders Militant is made up of Battle Sisters. Every Battle Sister is an orphan raised from birth by the Schola Progenium to believe in the righteousness of their cause. They are the most physically adept and martial members of the Adeptus Sororitas, and they form the mainstay of the Ecclesiarchy’s fighting forces.
